Happy Easter Break!

Congratulations to everyone on a strong start to the 2025 season across the Senior Men’s, Women’s, and Youth Girls competitions. We’re also excited for the Goulburn Murray Juniors, kicking off on the Anzac Day weekend!

This time of year can be particularly challenging, with April packed full of school holidays, Easter, and Anzac Day. We understand that the availability of volunteers, participants, and umpires may be limited during this period. We ask that clubs continue to support one another, make adjustments where necessary, and always prioritise participant health and safety, as well as the integrity of the game.

AFLGM Office Closure

Just a reminder that the AFLGM Office will be closed over the Easter period. We’ll be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, reopening on Tuesday, April 20.

Please also note that Sam and Kevin Monaghan will be on leave and will return on April 29.

U14 Girls Funding

We’re excited to share that AFLGM has secured $2,000 in seed funding from the AFL to help launch our new U14 Girls competitions in Echuca and Shepparton, starting at the end of May. A big step forward for our growing girls' football pathway!

Community Club Sustainability Program (CCSP)

For our senior clubs: it’s time to lodge your player payment compliance documents via the AFL Portal. Required documents include:

Club Player Payment Budget
Standard Player Declarations

If you encounter any issues lodging these documents, please reach out to your League Operations Manager for assistance.

Changes to Club Movement Procedures

AFL Victoria has been working with both regional and metro stakeholders to streamline and standardise the club transfer process. These updated procedures will apply to all club transfer applications in 2025.

Leagues received the draft changes in early March, and we expect the finalised regulations to be released in the coming weeks. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me directly.
